Toronto Region Information

Known as a city within a park, Toronto is located along the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario. A population of 2.87 million people, Toronto is also the capital of Ontario. On January 1, 1998, the City of Toronto was enlarged by amalgamating East York, Etobicoke, North York, Scarborough, York and the original city itself. The CN Tower is one of the city’s iconic landmarks, along with the many skyscrapers, green space and variety of places to dine, shop, attend a cultural or sports event, hike a trail or bike. It’s a vibrant and exciting place to live or visit.
