Sisal is made out of natural plant fibers from Agave Sisalana, a native plant to Mexico. This biodegradable material is very durable and is even used to produce rugs for high traffic areas. The plant itself is also very resilient and can grow in hot, arid conditions, where other crops would suffer, making it a sustainable alternative to other materials.
