March Break Camp

8:30am-2:30pm Monday-Friday

This inaugural Barrie Baycats March Break camp is recommended for all baseball fans of all skill sets. This camp will be indoors at a baseball facility. Based on the size of the facility, we are only able to accept 40 campers for this camp. The camp curriculum is fundamentally oriented with station to station skills and practice of in-game situations. The session is tailored for all skill levels and will give each participant a chance to refine all aspects of their game.

Camp participants will play games, receive instruction, and practice at The Warehouse at 49 Truman Rd, Unit N9, home of Barrie Minor Baseball (BMBA). Masks are option for kids doing athletic activity, coaches will be wearing masks full time. Vaccines are not mandated for kids camps or for registration at this time. 

DESCRIPTION

Camp sessions will focus on:

• In depth hitting instruction with daily batting practice and stations.
• Extensive fielding and ground ball work.
• Proper footwork on double plays (feeds and throws) at every infield position.
• Base running and reads while on the bases.
• Team bunt defense, aggressive and normal.
• Extensive pitching and proper throwing mechanics.
• Agility and stretching routines.

What to bring:

• Cap, indoor running shoes, glove, bat and helmet

• Snacks and lunch (except Friday, pizza provided)

• Thermos with liquids or water

COST:  $309.00 all-in per Camper 

July 11th - July 15th - Select & Rep Week 1

July 18th - July 22nd - Select & Rep Week 2

This Barrie Baycats Baseball camp is recommended for the up and coming serious baseball player who desires to become a better player and refine their skills on the diamond. The elite camp will be designed to challenge the serious baseball player to their maximum potential. The camp curriculum is fundamentally oriented with simulated and inter squad game play. The session is tailored to be age and skill appropriate for the rep and select levels. 

Camp participants will play games, receive instruction, and practice on the field at Vintage Throne Stadium, home of the 7 time IBL Champions Barrie Baycats

DESCRIPTION

Camp sessions will focus on:

• In depth hitting instruction with daily batting practice and stations.
• Extensive infield and outfield fielding and ground ball work.
• Proper footwork on double plays (feeds and throws) at every infield position.
• Correct positioning on cut offs and relays in the infield and outfield.
• Correct run down execution and positioning. Base running and reads while on the bases.
• Team bunt defense, aggressive and normal.
• Extensive pitching and proper throwing mechanics.
• Agility and stretching routines.

COST:  $325.00 all-in per Camper for 1 week

COST:  $600.00 all-in per Camper for 2 weeks

July 25th - July 29th

House League

This Barrie Baycats Baseball camp is recommended for the baseball player who desires to develop their skills in a less intensive fashion still with the focus on learning while having fun. There will be other activities mixed in during the week that will build on a great experience. The session is tailored to be age and skill appropriate for the house league and beginner levels.

DESCRIPTION

Camp sessions will focus on:

• Involving everyone in activities and drills
• Infield practice (Ground balls, baserunning, defensive positioning fundamentals)
• Pitching and hitting basics
• Relay throws
• Agility and stretching exercises
• Fun with associated activities (water balloons, slippery slides)

COST:  $300.00 all-in per Camper

Summer Camp Hours: 9am-3pm Monday to Friday (Early and late pick up available)

Location: Vintage Throne Stadium (Formerly Coates Stadium at  the Barrie Community Sports Complex - Midhurst, Situated at 2100 Nursery Road)

What to bring:

• Cap, running shoes or cleats, glove.(if available bat and helmet, but not necessary)
• Sun screen, snacks and lunch (except Friday, pizza provided)
• Water will be available but consider a thermos with liquids
• Weather permitting jacket

Registration: Online Credit/debit payment required.

 *Registration will be online only again this year.

Rain out Policy:

We will try our best to operate fully each day that is scheduled. However, if we experience inclement weather, an email notification stating a cancellation will be sent (to this e-mail address) by 8:00 am that day. ***Please note that refunds are not available for rain outs and this day will not be rescheduled. A credit will be in place for next years’ Baycat campers. Let's hope we have nice, summer weather!
