"A New Day" is one of the images I made to show the contrasts in city life and how nature and industry intersect in our surroundings. It's a composite image, with details from just two original photographs, one taken of the swallows and birdhouses in Windermere Basin Park, one of the reclaimed wetlands in Hamilton, Ontario. The other image, which I've faded into the background, is one of the numerous industrial plants on the Hamilton waterfront , Columbian Chemicals Canada. If you look closely, you'll see a very faint shadow of an overturned freight car in there, and some grey dappled cloud that I painted in to connect the two image components.- Choosing a selection results in a full page refresh.
