Immerse yourself in a delightful culinary experience at the Georgetown Farmers’ Market. Picture the delectable, freshly picked strawberries and field-ripened tomatoes adorning your dinner table fresh from the farm! Indulge in an impressive array of farm-fresh Ontario produce, including seasonal fruits and vegetables, local honey, syrup, jams, deli meats, handcrafted botanical soaps and lotions, artisanal crafts, vibrant flowers, and plants. Each week, talented local crafters and community groups add a touch of diversity to the market.
While friendly leashed pets are welcome, their proximity to food and vendors should be mindful of health and safety considerations. Recognize that not everyone shares the same affection for pets, as some may feel uneasy or have concerns about their children. Your understanding is appreciated.
The Georgetown Farmers’ Market was established in 1993, thanks to a three-year start-up grant from the Downtown Georgetown BIA. Showcasing Ontario produce and locally crafted goods, the market mandates that 70% of each vendor’s produce must originate from their own establishment. Since 1997, vendor fees have enabled the market to sustain itself. Operated by a dedicated volunteer board consisting of local farmers, the market manager, and citizens, it returned under the jurisdiction of the Georgetown BIA in 2004, functioning as a sub-committee of the Board of Management administered by the BIA. Join us in celebrating the community’s rich agricultural heritage and the abundance of local flavors at the Georgetown Farmers’ Market.
